Chieftain Chille Igbawua of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has hailed David Mark’s appointment as party national chairman as “vindication for the rule of law” following INEC’s certification of Mark.

While interviewing as a special guest on Channels Television’s ‘The Morning Brief’ on Thursday, Igbawua made this declaration.

This decision upholds the rule of law and the law itself. Without a doubt, INEC has fulfilled its legal obligations.

Although we were aware on an internal level that it was merely a procedural issue, opposing factions attempted to use the situation for political gain, making it a significant turning point.

The National Working Committee and NEC as constituted in the last meeting have now been recognised by INEC, thanks to the ADC meeting their conditions, according to Igbawua.

President Bola Tinubu might be dissatisfied, according to the ADC chieftain, because the move strengthens the opposition.

The party’s founder, Ralph Nwosu, he said, had resigned himself to the role of ordinary member, and he was happy with the party’s rebranding and continued expansion.
