Shettima arrives for the G20 conference in South Africa.

In order to represent President Bola Tinubu at the G20 Leaders’ Summit, Vice President Kashim Shettima has travelled to Johannesburg, South Africa.

Shettima is anticipated to further Nigeria’s agenda at the summit in the areas of global development, security alliances, climate finance, and economic cooperation.

Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications (Office of the Vice President), made this claim in a statement released on Friday.

Shettima will interact with world leaders and development partners during the conference, according to the release.

Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Wale Edun, Chargé d’Affaires Alexander Ajayi, Consul General Umar Bashir, Defence Advisor Commodore Ibrahim Ari Gwaska, South Africa’s Chief Director for West Africa Nyameko Goso, and Small Business Development Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams were among the officials who welcomed Shettima when she landed at Waterkloof Air Force Base.
