Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, has praised Peter Mbah, the governor of Enugu State, for defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Mbah announced his defection to the APC on Tuesday, according to the Daily Post, stressing the need to connect Enugu with the federal government for speedier development. Mbah was elected on the PDP platform in the general elections of 2023.
In a post on X, Keyamo responded by calling the APC a “natural home” for Mbah’s developmental vision and pointing out that the move was appropriate given his track record of accomplishments and administration.

“It would be a miracle for anyone to defeat you in future elections,” Keyamo stated when he visited Enugu a few months ago to introduce Enugu Air. “Thank God, you and President Bola Tinubu are now working together to further unity and progress in Enugu and the Southeast.”
Assuring Mbah that the decision would bolster his political base in the state, the minister went on to characterise him as the “undisputed leader of Enugu APC”.
