Siminalayi Fubara, governor of Rivers State, has come clean about his meeting with President Bola Tinubu to formally inform him of his return following the lifting of his suspension.
XANDERTECH previously reported that on Monday evening, the governor—who was just reinstated following six months of emergency rule in the state—was at the State House.
In an interview with reporters that followed the private meeting, Fubara compared his conversation with the president as a father-and-son chat about the future.

To avoid a repeat of the state’s problems, he supposedly sought Tinubu’s counsel on a number of issues.
The suspension was lifted at midnight on the 17th, and he resumed on the 19th, as you are aware, he stated. I am writing to inform you, Mr. President, that I have returned to my duties as Governor of Rivers State and am fully able to carry them out.
“We had a heart-to-heart, where I thanked him and he learnt how to steer me in the right direction to avoid a repeat of this crisis. It was a father-son conversation.”
