Authorities in Kano State have announced the arrest and subsequent recovery of seven motorbikes from ten individuals who were reportedly in possession of stolen bikes.

Following the arrest of notorious motorbike thief Dahiru Jibrin on August 11, 2025, the police claimed triumph.

The additional arrests were subsequently the result of investigations conducted by the Criminal Investigation Department’s (CID) Anti-Cyber Crime Unit.

The seized motorcycles have been restored to their owners, according to a statement released on Thursday by police spokesperson SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa.

He elaborated by saying that the victory demonstrates the Command’s resolve to disrupt criminal networks in the state.

As part of their dedication to safeguarding lives and property, the Command has returned the seized motorcycles to their original owners, he announced.

Police Chief CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori commended the operation’s participants and asked the public for information that would help the police.

He reaffirmed the dedication of the Kano State Police Command to protecting citizens and their possessions.
