It was “stupidity” for Stan Nze, a famous actor from Nigeria, to put his life on the line for a film role.
This was spoken by the actor while discussing how roles are interpreted in Nollywood.
Nze told The Nation that he shouldn’t endanger his life trying to become the top actor as there are professional stuntmen who make a living doing stunts for movies.

“Why would I put my life on the line to jump from a precarious height just to watch a movie?” he asked. Stunt men are in charge of characters that jump. It is their responsibility to do it. Actors that command a high salary for such jobs are known as stunt actors. Learning to jump and perform other feats is something they’ve done before.
It is foolishness for people to only observe a minute of silence and then carry on; I refuse to be foolish and leap from a dangerous height because I aspire to be Africa’s top actor.
In order to allow the stunt men to accomplish their jobs as well, I shall limit myself to the tasks assigned to me.
