Despite having a lower ceiling than Manchester City, Michael Owen, a former Manchester United and Liverpool attacker, has selected Arsenal to win the Premier League this season.
After 22 years of waiting, the former Real Madrid and Stoke City striker suggested that Arsenal’s defence will be the key to securing the title.
The Gunners are four points ahead of Manchester City heading into the break for international play.

Fans and analysts alike have City projected as a title contender against Arsenal now that they’re playing at their peak.
When asked about Arsenal, Owen stated, “Their defence is their strength” within Premier League Productions.
“They have an excellent custodian and a solid, well-protected back four.” They do what they do best and don’t let many goals in.
Owen responded to the question of whether the Premier League title was “Arsenal’s to lose” by saying, “Possibly, they are a fair few points ahead.” Anyone you ask will likely tell you that Arsenal are currently the favourites, so beating them will require a strong showing. Because of how efficient they are, I don’t see them losing too many points. The pressure of being in first place is real, but they’re playing so efficiently that it doesn’t matter. Even with Man City and Liverpool performing at their peak, I would still rank Arsenal as the third-best team. When they’re both playing to their full potential, Liverpool and Man City are unstoppable.
