Four businesses have been placed under seal by the Ogun State Government’s Environmental Protection Agency (OGEPA) due to allegations of breaking state environmental rules.
Within the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the State, you’ll find these four companies: Aristocrate Industries Limited, Plenco Industries Limited, Nanfang Industrial Limited, and Xinphang Plastic Limited.
This was disclosed on Tuesday during an interview section with newsmen in his office in Abeokuta by Farouk Akintunde, who is the Special Adviser to the Governor on OGEPA.

According to what Akintunde revealed, Plenco Industries Limited and Nanfang Industrial Limited were fined for releasing untreated water into the environment since their factories did not have effluence treatment plants.
He said that two companies, one involved in plastic recycling (Xinphang Plastic Limited) and the other in flexible package production (Aristocrate Industries Limited), had refused to get the necessary government approval for their operations and had also refused to let government officials visit their facilities.
But the OGEPA boss was unhappy with these facilities’ non-compliance status and warned that the trend was bad for people’s and the planet’s health.
