After graduating from the Police Training School in Minna, 232 newly recruited Police Constables were sent to the state of Niger by Commissioner of Police (CP) Adamu Abdullahi Elleman. Elleman has ordered them to adhere to the state’s standard operating procedures and police manuals.
On Tuesday, 370 students from the Police Training School in Minna graduated, including the 232 new constables.
At Minna’s Police Headquarters, DCP Ibrahim Adamu and DCP Aminu Garba welcomed them on CP Elleman’s behalf.

In his remarks, Elleman greeted and congratulated the constables, and he expressed gratitude to the Police Service Commission and the Inspector General of Police for staffing the Command with more officers.
An increase in the Command’s ability to provide high-quality police service throughout the state will be a result of this, he said.
In addition, the CP admonished them to carry out their responsibilities with integrity and professionalism.
“Exercising optimum discretion where necessary, imbibe and act according to the tenets of the Police manuals, rule of law, and standard operating procedures,” he said.
“I want to stress the importance of learning the practical duties of the police in different divisions and putting what you’ve learnt from the training school into practice. It goes without saying that you should avoid corrupt practices and unprofessional conduct at all costs, or face severe disciplinary consequences.”
After that, he urged them to do their best as representatives of the Nigerian people and the Nigeria Police Force.
