In response to allegations that Uche Nnaji, minister of science, technology, and innovation, forged certificates, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has issued a statement.
According to earlier investigative investigations, the Minister’s screening materials were fabricated.
The Minister, according to the report, never received a diploma from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, even though he said he did.

Reportedly, the diplomas he produced for his appointment were also discarded by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
President Bola Tinubu’s decision to keep the minister on staff despite the accusations is not surprising, according to the ADC.
The National Publicity Secretary of the ADC party, Bolaji Abdullahi, released a statement in which the party accused the Tinubu administration of tolerating corruption due to its relative quiet on the matter.
The obvious issue on everyone’s mind in Nigeria right now is why the Tinubu government is retaining the minister in office if he lacks the integrity to step down.
“The APC and the Tinubu administration are betraying their promises to combat corruption and embracing fraud at the highest levels of their government by doing nothing,” the ADC stated.
“He should not only be dismissed with ignominy, he should also face full prosecution for forgery and perjury,” the opposition party said, demanding the minister’s immediate suspension awaiting an impartial investigation.
