City manager Pep Guardiola said that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will win the Premier League because he spent a lot of money on players.
Guardiola was talking to reporters early this morning before their trip to the Emirates this weekend.
He said that teams like Arsenal are not punished as harshly for how much they spend on transfers than City.

Arsenal bought new players for £300 million last summer. Since the summer of 2021, they have spent over £900 million. That amount is just a little more than what the City spent during the same time period.
Guardiola told his friend Mikel Arteta, “If he wins the title, it will only be because he spent, not because he worked hard or his players did.”
“It looks like Liverpool.” It will cost a lot of money for Arne (Slot) to win again. Yes? Because it didn’t just happen to Man City. It’s for all of them.
