The Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has enacted legislation to establish Gaya Polytechnic.
The announcement of the development was made on Friday by the Governor’s spokeswoman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

The bill was submitted to the Governor at the Government House by the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, and the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Bello Butubutu.
Governor Yusuf, accompanied by the Deputy Governor during the signing, expressed satisfaction with the Assembly’s efficient proceedings.
He articulated that the new polytechnic will provide opportunities for youth to acquire the practical and technical skills essential for fostering economic growth.
