Governor Uba Sani recommends a budget of N985.9 billion for 2026.

In alignment with his dedication to transparent, accountable, and citizen-focused governance, the Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has proposed a budget of N985.9 billion for 2026.

Governor Uba Sani delivered this during the town hall meeting for deliberation, as stated on his verified Facebook page:

“To reaffirm our dedication to transparent, accountable, and citizen-focused governance, we held a Special Town Hall Meeting to discuss the Proposed 2026 Multi-Year Budget of N985.9 billion, a strategic financial plan consisting of N699.7 billion (71 percent) allocated for capital expenditure and N286.2 billion (29 percent) for recurrent spending.

This was not simply a legal procedure; it was a democratic platform founded on the principle that public finance should embody public consent and community ambition.

The discussions were intellectually stimulating and profoundly constructive. Representatives from civil society, traditional institutions, the Elders Council, church leaders, youth organisations, individuals with disabilities, the commercial sector, and grassroots entities participated with remarkable frankness and analytical rigour.

Their accolades for the robust execution of the 2025 Budget highlighted the evident effects of our initiatives, while their suggestions confirmed the sophistication of Kaduna’s civic framework.

“These insights will be carefully integrated into the final budget as we progress towards the implementation of Kaduna State’s 2026 Budget for Consolidating Rural Transformation for Inclusive Development.”

The Town Hall permitted us to provide an extensive two-year performance scorecard across critical sectors. Our government is committed to enhancing service delivery, fortifying institutional resilience, and promoting public engagement as a fundamental aspect of democratic governance.
