Directors of Personnel Management and treasurers of local governments are fired by the Kwara state government.

According to XANDERTECH, the state government of Kwara has authorised the immediate dissolution of all 16 local government treasurers and directors of personnel management.

The Kwara State Local Government Service Commission issued the decision in a circular dated October 13, 2025. The commission’s chairman, Mallam R. D. Mustapha, signed the document on behalf of the commission.

This circular instructs the impacted officers to promptly turn over their responsibilities to the local government council’s accountants and heads of department (administration) as stated in the circular.

“Until substantive Directors of Personnel Management and treasurers are appointed, this temporary arrangement will continue,” the circular continued.
