Omah Lay: “God, prayer won’t fix save Nigeria

Nigeria cannot be saved by prayers alone, according to Afrobeats musician Stanley Omah Didia, better known by his stage name Omah Lay.

He maintained that the nation would not improve until people started acting proactively.

“We cannot be saved by prayer, Jesus, or Allah. On Thursday, he posted on his X handle, “Until we wake TF up, nothing changes.”

In light of Nigeria’s growing economic hardship and instability, the musician made the remark as both Christian and Islamic clerics urged prayers for the country.
