The controversies surrounding her claimed marriage to the father of her first kid have finally been addressed by well-known Nigerian gospel singer Tope Alabi.
According to XANDERTECH, Tope Alabi and Lekan Olaoye had a daughter named Ayomikun from their previous relationship.
Tope Alabi married Soji Alabi in November 2000 after splitting from Olaoye, and the two of them had two kids together.

Recall that the singer received backlash on social media a few months ago for changing Ayomikun’s last name to her current husband’s and for failing to invite Olaoye to their daughter’s wedding.
But in a recent video posted to her Facebook page, the gospel singer talked about her past relationship and said that her ex never even brought his family to her father, much less performed the customary marriage ceremony.
“I felt there was no point going back to where my family was pressuring me to marry at all costs, so I started living with him,” she added.
I had gone from bad to worse without realising it. Every time I came home, my father would voice his worries.
He couldn’t tell me not to live with the man, you know. He would claim that neither he nor any of his relatives had ever met the man I was living with. After much persistence, my so-called partner finally showed up one evening with some coworkers.
“All he replied was, ‘Okay,’ when my family asked when his family would arrive for the introduction.
Perhaps tomorrow would have been the day if that “okay” had ever materialised. However, tomorrow never materialised. I no longer even require his “okay.” It’s gone, my beloved father who yearned for it. A nice family gave him a much greater “okay” when he was here. “Ladies, pay attention to me; a man can take advantage of you if he sees that you are naive or weak.”
