The life and career of veteran Nigerian rapper William Orioha, better known by his stage name 2Shotz, took a tragic turn when actress Beverly Osu accused him of abuse.
The rapper opened up about how the accusation, which occurred years before his marriage, had far-reaching and unanticipated ramifications during an interview with the Teju Babyface Show.
Beverly, who was in one of his music videos, was a regular at his house, he said.

He said things got hot between them, and he “accidentally brushed her face” during an argument. Their relationship deteriorated from there.
But Beverly took it personally and reported it as a physical assault, and word got out.
2Shotz admitted that the accusation had devastating consequences, including the loss of sponsorship deals, family, and public support.
He has never been aggressive, the artist stressed, and the story was fabricated.
The incident, which he called “one of the darkest moments of my life,” ruined his relationships and his career as a musician.
Many things were spoken about me that are not true. Everyone ripped me to shreds. There were no shows for me. Deals were eluding me. I am homeless. I was on the verge of suicide. “People had to drag me out of the water after I walked into it,” he said.
