Emmanuel Kefas, the individual recently implicated in the killing of his girlfriend, Comfort Jimtop, has been discovered deceased under ambiguous circumstances in the Tudiri town of Ardo-Kola Local Government Area, Taraba State.
Kefas was identified as a principal suspect in the current inquiry over the demise of Comfort Jimtop, a first-year Mass Communication student at Taraba State University, Jalingo.
Her enigmatic death elicited considerable worry and garnered substantial public attention throughout the state, especially among the academic community.

The Taraba State Police Command, via spokesperson James Lashen, confirmed the occurrence on Saturday, stating that a deceased body, presumed to be Kefas’s, was found in Tudiri.
“The village head of Tudiri in Ardo-Kola informed us that a deceased body was discovered.” Lashen stated, “A Tecno Android phone was found adjacent to the corpse.”
He additionally revealed that when charging the phone, authorities discovered a photograph depicting Kefas and the deceased Comfort Jimtop together, suggesting a probable intimate relationship.
The body has been transported to the Federal Medical Centre, FMC, Jalingo for autopsy. Efforts are on to locate the boy’s relatives for formal identification. Lashen stated, “The autopsy will assist in ascertaining the definitive cause of death.”
Authorities have not yet verified if Kefas’s death is classified as suicide, homicide, or accidental. The inquiry is still under progress.
