Ola, a well-known Lagosian media figure and auto trader, has denied rumours that he was involved in the sale or destruction of the Skywise Group’s property.
Contrary to popular belief, Ola did not own the property; he merely rented a portion of it to run his vehicle business, as he explained in a video message that went viral online.
He claims that neither he nor his business were the targets of the demolition, but rather that the state government acted in response to safety and structural problems found at the site.

Regarding the dismantling of my auto lot, I feel the need to clarify something. I merely rented out space on the Skywise Group site; I was never the owner. “The failure to adhere to certain safety measures was the reason behind the action taken by the Lagos State Government; it had nothing to do with me personally,” Ola clarified.
Many social commentators have criticised him, and activist Deji Adeyanju is among them; she accused him of pretending to be the property owner, and he has now responded.
The scandal went viral on social media, and Ola took to the platform to ask Nigerians to check facts before spreading rumours.
He reaffirmed that the occurrence was an official effort to enforce regulations and that his company will continue to do business lawfully.
