Present at the State House in Abuja at the moment are Ola Olukoyede, chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and Ibok-Ete Ibas, who was the sole administrator of Rivers State immediately before him.

The immediate purpose of their visit to the Villa was unclear, but rumour had it that President Bola Tinubu had summoned Ibas.

On Wednesday at about 5:50 p.m., Ibas reportedly made his way to the State House, as reported by Channels TV.

Ibas, who assumed control of the state in March after Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s suspension, reportedly returned power to the governor last week after Tinubu overturned the six-month suspension, according to the XANDERTECH.

It was also decided that members of the State Assembly will investigate Ibas’s six-month administration.
