As the Enugu exco is dissolved by APC NWC, Ben Nwoye assumes control.

The Enugu State Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been dissolved.

The decision was made during Thursday’s APC 179th National Working Committee meeting in Abuja, according to GISTCON.

This will set the stage for Governor Peter Mbah to be apprehended by the broom party.

According to our source, the dissolution occurred just two days following Uche Nnaji’s resignation as minister of innovation, science, and technology, which was caused by allegations of certificate fabrication.

The former APC head in Enugu State, Barr Ugo Agballah, is a friend of Nnaji’s.

The SWC, which was led by Agballah, has been immediately dissolved by the NWC.

The new leader is Barr Ben Nwoye, who was previously the party chairman in the state.

The seven-person caretaker committee is headed by Barr Eugene Odo, a former speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly. Odo also serves as vice chair.

Hon. Durosinmi Meseko, the APC’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, signed the meeting’s resolution.

On Thursday, 9th October, 2025, under the auspices of the National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, the 179th meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC) was conducted at the Party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.

“The following decisions were made at the end of the meeting:

“Appointment of a Caretaker Committee and Dissolution of the Executive Committee of Enugu State”

After a thorough evaluation of the party’s situation in Enugu State, the National Working Committee gave the go-ahead to dissolve the APC Enugu State Executive Committee immediately.

As a result, a Caretaker Committee consisting of seven members has been established to manage the Party’s activities within the state.

Here is the roster of members for the Committee that will be officially inaugurated in the Party’s National Secretariat in Abuja on Friday, 10th October, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.:

Governor Peter Mbah, meantime, is in route to the APC.

He had already promised not to join the party, according to Agballah and Nnaji.

The party was prepared to welcome the governor, according to foundation members like Nwoye and Mr. Osita Okechukwu.
