According to Peter Obi, Ibadan is strategically important to Nigeria’s development.

According to Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate in the general elections of 2023, Ibadan is crucial to Nigeria’s development and very strategic.

This statement was delivered by Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, during a visit to Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, the Olubadan-designate.

According to our correspondent, on Sunday, Obi and a few of his cronies paid Ladoja a visit at his Bodija home in Ibadan.

Obi was accompanied, among others, by Mr. Yunusa Tanko, National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, and Mr. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party’s 2023 candidate for governor of Lagos State.

The delegation reached Ladoja’s home at approximately 10:55 a.m.

Speaking, Obi stated that he had come to honour the Olubadan-designate because Ibadan is strategically important to Nigeria’s political, social, and economic advancement.

Ladoja will take Ibadan to enviable places by leveraging his extensive expertise as a former senator, governor, and business magnate, Obi said.

“The visit focusses on Nigeria, selfless leadership, and leadership that is dedicated to changing society,” he stated.

“Because Ibadan is crucial to Nigeria’s development and highly strategic.” He will have everything he needs to be successful because he was a senator, governor, and business magnate. And for the sake of a united Nigeria, I will back him as Olubadan.

“People from all over Nigeria attended the majority of Ibadan’s schools, including the University of Ibadan, and they are succeeding in all facets of human endeavours.”
