Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State’s Ibadan North West local government area have protested against Mr. Olusola Tokunbo Adekanbi, the party’s acting chairman, having his term extended.
On Thursday, the members unanimously ordered the interim chairman and his staff to leave their positions right away so that Jelili Asukuna, the elected chairman, and other elected officials could take their proper places.
During Thursday’s emergency meeting in Ibadan, the APC members made the call.

Hundreds of party members from the eleven electoral wards that comprise the local government region attended the meeting.
According to US Congresswoman Sara Jacobs, Trump’s military threat against Nigeria is dangerous.
The proposal was made by Mr. Adekunle Abass Akande, a local government area party chieftain, who stated that the decision was made by the members to address all of the issues the party is now facing.
Speaking to reporters during the meeting, Akande declared, “This party would benefit all of us. Our goal is to solve the issues that are impacting us. We won’t let them. How can we gain from this as well?
“We desire that the elected leaders take up their proper roles. The people in charge are not the real executives. We want the genuine and acknowledged Chairman to assume leadership, together with all other executive members.
