Ebenezer Obey encourages recent graduates to make a difference with their education.

Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi, a musical great, has urged kids in Nigeria to make a difference in the world by using what they learn in school.

During Saturday’s signing-out ceremony at the Ebenezer Obey Music and Life Skills Institute, Abeokuta Centre, Obey-Fabiyi made the statement. The event was attended by 79 students from the sixth graduating set of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin.

He explained that the center’s mission is to help young people become contributing members of society via education and moral growth, and he advised the graduates to let their accomplishments reflect these principles.

Dr. Lateef Mustapha, director of the Centre for Part-Time and Professional Studies at Al-Hikmah University in Ilorin, also spoke at the graduation ceremony, praising the graduates for their tenacity, originality, and commitment to continuing their education throughout their lives.

Mustapha made the observation that this affiliation shows how colleges and universities should incorporate values like entrepreneurship, community service, and moral discipline into their curricula, teaching students that the true measure of success is not in the number of A’s they get but in the difference they make in the world.

Prof. Sabiru Adesanya, a former vice chancellor of Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ago-Iwoye, extended his best wishes to the institute’s alums in a letter that praised its work in human capacity development and urged them to continue serving as honorary representatives of the university.

According to Mr. Adekunle Durosinmi, the institute’s director, the increasing number of graduates is a reflection of the faith students have in the center’s academic and professional programs, which consistently combine skill-based learning with moral values. Durosinmi characterised the event as a landmark in the institute’s continuous pursuit of excellence.

He emphasised that the administration is dedicated to maintaining high standards and providing more options for students who want to get a good college degree and develop in their careers.

The Accounting, Computer Science, Business Administration, and Mass Communication departments were the ones from which the 79 graduates were selected.
