President Bago of Niger dissolves cabinet but keeps key staff

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State has dissolved his cabinet while retaining key personnel such as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chief of Staff (CoS), and others.

During a meeting of the State Executive Council in Minneapolis’s Council Chamber, the governor made the announcement.

He thanked his cabinet members for their contributions to the state’s progress thus far and wished them well in their future pursuits.

But Bago made it clear that he is keeping on board the chief of staff, deputy chief of staff, secretary to the state government, SSG, and other key officers in his office.
