The Jigawa State Government has given the green light for the building of three big roads in the Miga Local Government Area. The entire cost is more than N30 billion.
This was said by Governor Malam Umar Namadi at the official start of the Tsakuwa–Koya–Kafin Hausa road construction in Miga.
The governor said that Miga is one of the state’s main farming areas since it has a lot of Fadama and irrigation systems that make it possible to grow all year round.

He said that the road upgrades are meant to make it easier to get to markets, move farm goods, and stimulate business in the area.
Governor Namadi said that the 30-kilometer Tsakuwa–Koya–Kafin Hausa feeder route, which cost N7 billion to build, should be done in a year.
The governor said, “This project is one of three major roads that the state government is building in Miga Local Government as part of our promise to keep our campaign promises.”
The governor made the announcement while he was in Miga for the Government Citizens Engagement Programme (Gwamnatin Da Jama’a). He also started a project to bring electricity to Koya Village.
Dr. Abdullahi Kainuwa, the Commissioner for Health, talked about some of the things that have been done in the local government over the previous two years during the event.
These include fixing up Miga General Hospital and other primary health facilities, hiring new health workers, and signing up more than 7,000 needy inhabitants for the state’s Social Health Insurance Scheme.
The Commissioner for Education also spoke and said that the government has spent more than N5 billion on building and fixing up classrooms and giving schools in the area furniture and other important learning resources.
The governor said again that his administration is committed to building infrastructure and investing in people in order to raise the standard of living for everyone in Jigawa State.
